IBW is supporting RMHC-KC in its long-range organizational and needs assessment.     The first Ronald McDonald House opened in Philadelphia as a “home away from home” for families whose children were fighting cancer. Ronald McDonald House Charities programs can be found in 90% of the best children’s hospitals around the world:   - 379 Ronald McDonald Houses – in 45 countries - 266 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms – in 28 countries - 43 Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles – in 10 countries For more than 40 years, the RMHC-KC has been providing home cooked meals, a comfortable place to rest and refresh, and a calming place to escape the stresses of the hospital – all free of charge.     RMHC-KC is the only organization in KC providing temporary lodging solely for families with sick children, and in a typical year serves approximately 8,000 families.
