iBossWell Announces Engagement with Caritas Clinics of Kansas

iBossWell (IBW) is proud to announce its engagement with Caritas Clinics of Kansas. A ministry of SCL Health, Caritas Clinics is committed to improving the health of the individuals and communities it serves. IBW is supporting Caritas Clinics in business and strategic planning.

In 1986, Sister Rosalie Mahoney expressed concern that many low-income residents of Leavenworth County had no medical coverage or access to care. Her initiative made Saint Vincent Clinic possible, to provide a cost-effective, accessible health care facility for Leavenworth residents.

Recognizing a similar need in Wyandotte County, the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth and many community partners brought Sister Rosalie’s vision alive again with the establishment of Duchesne Clinic in 1989. The two clinics have been incorporated since 1993 as Caritas Clinics, Inc.

A sister clinic, Marian Dental, based in Topeka, Kansas, is also part of the SCL Health ministry in Kansas. Marian Dental Clinic opened in 1988 providing volunteer dental services to the community. It is now a full-service dentistry serving the poor, uninsured, and under-insured of Topeka and Northeast Kansas.

Founded on the belief that health care is a basic human right, Caritas Clinics provide services to indigent patients, regardless of religious affiliation, with an emphasis on the values of compassion, respect of personal dignity, and a sensitivity to human suffering.

Thank you, Caritas Clinics, for providing quality, affordable health care for those in need, regardless of a patient’s ability to pay.
